Heart of Stone is a song about the times when we think we are bad or something is wrong with us, for whatever reasons. And the eventual discovery and realization that those parts of us we thought were bad aren't even us. It's about peeling back all the stuff that gets piled on top of us to the core, the heart, of who we truly are.
